M199全称Medium 199,即培养基199,是Morgan等在1950年设计的,最初用于鸡胚成纤维细胞的营养研究,现已广泛应用于各种动物细胞的培养,包括一些非哺乳类动物细胞。M199特别适用于非转化细胞的培养,也常用于病毒学、疫苗生产,以及大鼠胰腺上皮细胞和小鼠晶状体组织的培养。与其他基础培养基相比,M199含有独特的成分,包括腺嘌呤、腺苷、次黄嘌呤、胸腺嘧啶、以及其他的维生素。M199有两种平衡盐成分,Earle’s盐成分常用于CO2环境,Hank’s盐成分用于非CO2的环境。针对广泛的细胞培养应用,我们提供多种组分的M199改良培养基。
